Jeanne McColm-Blasco passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2020.  She was born September 11, 1925 into a farming family  in Mountain Grove, Missouri.  She was the youngest of six brothers and sisters.

Jeanne married Alvin McColm during World War II and had two sons and a daughter.  They settled and  raised their family in Kansas City, Missouri.  Jeanne was a devoted mother and homemaker, but also enjoyed working full-time as a pharmacist assistant, joining Katz Drug Stores in 1960.  She remained with Katz through its eventual acquisition by Skaggs Drugstores.  She left the company when she was remarried in 1977 to Sam Blasco.  They remained together until his passing.

Jeanne was a fun-loving, outgoing lady who could light up a room with her smile, her style, and her bold personality.  She befriended people easily and was quick to help others in need.  Jeanne was lively and energetic, and with her there was never a dull moment.  But her greatest gift was with words.  She was a talented writer and received several awards over the years for her poetry and short stories.  She was a lady with great wisdom and spiritual understanding.  She was, in the truest sense, an enigma.

Jeanne leaves behind  her youngest  son, Chetty McColm, of  Kansas City, Missouri as well as her grandson, Jack "Skip" Truelove of Manchester, New Hampshire.  Not to mention her many friends, old and new, whom she will keep  watch over from Heaven.
