Jennie DeStafano, 98, Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 4, 2017, at her home at Wexford Place in Kansas City North.
Jennie was born July 13, 1919, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Joseph and Mary (Picone) DeStafano. She graduated from Northeast High School and attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO. She served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946, and then worked in administration at TWA for 36 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church for many years. Jennie loved to travel, often with her cousin and best friend Margaret Castagna, who passed away in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vida Fanska; and brother, Michael DeStefano.
Jennie is survived by her sister, Edie Jo Scavuzzo; sister-in-law, Mary DeStefano; and three generations of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Graveside Inurnment will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 25, at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland, Kansas City, MO 64127.
