Jennie Vento, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Wilshire at Lakewood. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 10, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Family and Friends will gather on Saturday, August 11, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 SW State Route 150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.

Jennie was born November 12, 1917, in Kansas City, MO to Giuseppe and Maria (Palmenteri) Vento. She was a graduate of Jayne Hayes Gates and worked as a seamstress for 38 years. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, and spending time with her nieces and nephews and their children.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charlie, Jasper, Joe, Ben, John, and Sam Vento; sisters, Grace Vento and Lena MacDonald; and great-nephew, Paul Mistretta. She is survived by her sisters, Katie Fewins and Rose Cooper; sister-in-law, Eva Mae Williams; niece and nephew, Neva and Tony Mistretta; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
