On April 4, 2014, Jerome Ferro went to be with his wife in heaven. Jerome, age 85, grew up in the Old Northeast neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo., and attended De La Salle High School. He worked for Katz Drug Stores and went on to Ford Motor Co., which he retired from in 1980. He was proud of his years spent leading young boys in Indian Guides and in Boy Scout Troop 125. He also loved gardening, eating good food and collecting decanters.

Jerome was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Ferro, his parents Salvatore Ferro and Jennie Ferro Lipari, and his sister Rose Ann Sivigliano. He is survived by his children Sam Ferro and wife Lisa, Toni Ferro-Arthur and husband Roger, and Jerry Ferro Jr. and wife Michelle. He also leaves his grandkids Alexandra, Kaley and Cole McLain; Antonio, Courtney and Brooke Ferro; sister Marie Lombardo and husband Marion, brother Jim Ferro and wife Mary Jane; brother-in-law Vince Anzalone and wife Anna; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at St. James Catholic Church, 309 S. Stewart Rd., Liberty, MO 64068, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Mausoleum.
