Jerry Donnici passed away August 8, 2025.

Services will be held at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty, Missouri.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, with the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for the establishment of the Jerry Donnici Scholarship Fund.

Jerry was born Jerome A. Donnici on September 20, 1972.  He was raised in a big, loving Italian family with his two sisters and four brothers.

From a very young age Jerry was interested in sports, both playing and watching.  During his playing years he enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball.  When football season kicked off, Jerry was in his happy place.  He had a keen knowledge of every NFL team and many college teams.  Saturdays and Sundays were dedicated to catching as many games as possible.  Smoking ribs and brisket for Kansas City Chiefs games was a tradition, and he would often watch with friends and family.  As an adult he enjoyed learning golf and teaching his nephews to play.

He took a lot of pride in watching his 16 nieces and nephews participate in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities.  He was often found in attendance at their games, school plays, and important milestones in their lives.  They adored him.  He also faithfully attended the games of many of his friends' children and enjoyed watching them play at the grade school, high school, and collegiate level.

Jerry loved traveling and was always up for an adventure.  He enjoyed camping and fishing with his brothers, traveling to Las Vegas, visiting friends in Texas, visiting his sister's lake house in Minnesota, and road trips to NBA games, college games, and more.  He attended several NCAA Final Fours, the Atlanta Olympics, and many other memorable sporting events. He was up for anything whether it be singing karaoke or showing off his dance moves at a family wedding.

He was a proud graduate of Park Hill High School and enjoyed playing in the school's annual golf tournament and staying connected with many of his fellow Trojans.

Jerry was very social and never met a stranger.  As a result, he had an abundance of close friends.  If he had a conversation with you for 30 minutes, he was playing golf with you next week.  He had a gift for bringing different groups of friends together and stayed connected with many friends that he had known since his kindergarten days at St. Therese School.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Donnici, aunt Angeline Donnici, aunt and uncle Larry & Leonore Messina.  He is survived by his mother Paula Donnici, siblings Rose Simone (John), Charley Donnici (Tammy), Larry Donnici, Paul Donnici (Kristine), John Donnici (Sarah), Teresa Donnici (Ryan Day) and his nieces and nephews James Donnici, Joseph Donnici (Kaila), Sophia Donnici, Lucy Donnici (Spencer Pennington), Hannah Simone, Hope Simone, Mia Simone, Alexander Donnici, Madeline Donnici, Charles Donnici, Alaina Donnici, Evalyn Donnici, Elise Donnici, Paul Donnici, Emily Donnici, and Allison Donnici and many special friends that were like family.

His laughter, sense of humor, and basically everything about him will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Until we meet again.
