Jessie Dolores Bryant, 66, passed away July 9, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Entombment will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1150 N 38th St, Kansas City, KS 66102.

Jessie was born July 15, 1951, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Ignacio and Rebecca (Leyva) Castillo.  She lived in Independence, MO, and enjoyed baking, working puzzles, reading, and watching a variety of tv shows including 'The Young and the Restless', wrestling, and Royals games.

Jessie was preceded in death by her brothers Rudy and Ignacio "Junior" Castillo; daughter-in-law Mary Castillo; and grandson Baby Nacho.  She is survived by her children Ignacio Castillo, Ricardo Castillo (Lesa), and Jessie Bryant (Patrick Hernandez); grandchildren Bobby, Barbie,  Andresa, Veronica, George, Alyssia, Brittany, Kayla, and Reese; great-grandson PJ; niece Melissa Kingery; great-nephew Lukeus Kingery; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
