JoAnn was born November 23, 1942 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School, May 1961.  While in high school she met the love of her life, Walter, while he was stationed with the Navy in Olathe, KS.  They later married on July 13 th , 1963.  Walter and JoAnn had 3 children, Chirl, Patty and John.  She spent most of their childhood as a stay-at-home mom and volunteering with the PTA.  When her children were no longer in elementary school, JoAnn went to work as an elementary educational aid for the Shawnee Mission School District for 20 years. She loved to read, spend time with her family and especially loved spoiling her great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Lady. One of JoAnn's favorite things to do was collect teddy bears, she had a HUGE collection, as well as Post-It-Notes and scotch tape.

JoAnn was a gentle loving soul with a heart of gold who devoted her life to helping others. Her selfless acts were countless which she proved by her many, many years spent volunteering at Little Sisters of the Poor. Thus, in honor of her giving spirit and in lieu of flowers, our family ask that a charitable contribution in the name of JoAnn Hundley be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
