Jan 25, 1939 — Oct 25, 2019
JoAnn (Spray) Termini, 80, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019, with her family by her side. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 12 to 2 p.m., at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64124, with a Memorial Service beginning at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, JoAnn wished for donations to be made to the Doris Day Animal Foundation .
JoAnn was born on January 25, 1939, in Sioux City, IA. She was raised by her parents, Mildred and Rick Wyrick. JoAnn and her family moved to Preston, MO at the age of three, then to Kansas City, MO at age 11. She attended Northeast Senior High School. JoAnn worked as a waitress for over 50 years, most recently being at Chubby's. She made countless friends and her customers adored her. JoAnn was a very selfless and generous person who made everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Her favorite activities included playing bingo, cards and watching the Chiefs, Royals and Missouri Tigers. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a strong love for all of God's creatures.
JoAnn was married to George Termini for 15 years and to this union five children were born. JoAnn is survived by her five children, Terry (Aileen) Termini of Aurora, IL, Tom Termini of Kansas City, Debbie (Bob) Goins of Independence, MO, Tony (Andrea) Termini, of Mesa, AZ, and Barbie (Mike) Thomas of Kansas City; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and friends.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Joyce Cook; as well as an infant sister; and a grandson Steve Quinones.
She had a strong faith in God and read the bible daily. Her final message to all of us was to pray daily and to thank God for our blessings.
Mom wasn't a fancy person and would love for you to come dressed casually or in your favorite KC team gear - as long as it isn't KU!
