Obituary

Heaven has a new angel, a "Cutie" to grace the world with a spirit of love, kindness and friendship. JoBeth Miceli, 67, completed her earthly journey on July 3, 2013, in the arms of her loving husband, children and grandchildren, surrounded by her caring sister, brother-in-law, family and friends. The Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. followed by Visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96 St., Kansas City, MO. The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Holy Family Church, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery.

JoBeth lived an iconic life: marrying her childhood sweetheart, Dominic "Don" Miceli, just two days past her 18th birthday. From this day forward her greatest treasures were her husband and four children. Though she and Don would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 14, they were blessed to renew their holy vows at a jubilee Mass at the Cathedral last month.

With her family at the center of her life, JoBeth went about creating a home of love and laughter, faith and family. Affectionately known as "Cutie" to her grandkids, JoBeth lived a life way larger than her petite stature: uniquely defined by her ceaseless energy, fun-loving spirit, generous heart and quiet humility.

After working many years at the Payless Cashways corporate office, JoBeth joined Don at their family business, Quality Vending. As in marriage, they worked side-by-side, building a successful business until their recent retirement. The only thing that rivaled JoBeth's incredible work ethic was her zeal for life: special times spent with family, Vegas trips with her daughters, card games with girlfriends, and drives to the farm with Don.

Though she will be missed beyond words, JoBeth's spirit lives on in all those who have been touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents Stan and Josephine Gialde, father-in-law and mother-in-law Carl and Rose Miceli, and brother-in-law John Bonacorso. Left to cherish JoBeth's memory are her beloved husband Don; children Rozanne (Dean), Carl (Kelly), Sam (Debbie) and JoMarie (Joe); grandchildren Paul, Elizabeth (J.D), Jenna, Melaina, Dominic and Sammy; great-granddaughter Ellie; sister Kathy Bonacorso; brother-in-law Sam Miceli, her beloved family and dear friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Paul Prather, Dominic Miceli and J.D. Warman, cousins Tom Gialde and Dr. Steve Gialde, and special friend Brad Hokanson. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins Dr. Joe Gialde, Joe DiLorenzo, Gary Calcara and dear friend Lonnie Rockford.

JoBeth's family wishes to thank Dr. Chris Sirridge, Jennifer Roggy and the staff of Kansas City Cancer Center; the staff of St. Luke's North; and her son Dr. Sam Miceli for providing excellent care which will never be forgotten.
