Joseph Bonacorso Sr., 88, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013. The Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. followed by Visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.

"Joe B" was born November 26, 1924 in Kansas City, MO, to Phillip and Marie (Lascuola) Bonacorso. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and retired from the Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by wife of 61 years, Josephine (Tortorice) Bonacorso, in 2009; his brothers, John Bonacorso and Tudie Bonacorso; and his sister, Jean Najar-Young.

Survivors include his children, Phillip Bonacorso, Marie Martin and husband Joe, Jimmy Bonacorso, Joe Bonacorso and wife Diane; grandchildren, JoMarie Bertoncin and husband Gary, Anthony Martin and wife Lynn, Michelle Martin, Jim Bonacorso, Joe John Bonacorso, John Anthony Bonacorso, Andrew Bonacorso, Michael Bonacorso; great-grandchildren, Joe Mike Bonacorso, John Bertoncin, Henry Bertoncin, Sofia Bonacorso, Samantha Martin, Dominic Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be his great-grandsons and Joe Porrello, Joe Mike Sola, Phil Bonacorso, Bobby Joe Bonacorso, Joe Najar and Anthony Zicarelli.
