John M. Jeffers' Obituary
John M. Jeffers, 94, Osawatomie, KS, passed away May 18, 2017. Visitation will be 9 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Leavenworth, KS, National Cemetery.
John was born May 19, 1922, in Jasper, MO, the second youngest of nine boys and three girls born to William and Mary Jeffers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII who landed Marines with a Higgins boat during island operations in the Pacific. He retired as a process server with the Jackson County, MO, Circuit Court.
John is survived by his son and "daughter", Dan and Bonnie Jeffers; grandson, Daniel Jeffers; granddaughter, Heather Osborn; and three step-grandchildren, Ivy, Corey, and Cristi.
