John Edward "Chief" Korzinowski, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday, October 25, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow the services. A Celebration of Life will be held 12-5 p.m. Saturday, October 26, at Northland Abundant Life Church, 7700 Church Rd., Kansas City, MO 64158. Contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph.

Chief was born February 8, 1924 in Kansas City, MO to Adam and Amelia Rose Korzinowski. He worked as a brewmaster for Muehlebach and Schlitz Breweries. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Frank Korzinowski.

Survivors include his sisters, Helen Rieke and Rosemary Schmidt; hundreds of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends; and his beloved companion, Katrina Oldenburg, and her family.
