John J. Walton, 84, peacefully passed away on June 25, 2018. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

John attended De La Salle before joining the U.S. Navy where he served as a corpsman during the Korean Conflict. Returning home, he worked for Double S Vending, and served as president of the St. Augustine PTA , Societa Ragusa Americana, and UNICO South.

John leaves his wife of 64 years, Joann (Spalitto) Walton; his five daughters, Vicki  Dugas (Rene), Rose Rose (Dr. Barry), Denise Brancato (Joe Vic), Dr. Michelle Heimann (Jeff), Carmela Kreatsoulas (Nick); grandsons, Joseph (Andrea) and Johnny Brancato, Michael and Phillip Sandridge, Blake Heimann, Justin and Jake Rose; granddaughters, Marie Brancato, Ashley Heimann, Elaina and Angelina Kreatsoulas, and Jessica Rose-Reneau; brother-in-law Dr. Joseph Spalitto (Elizabeth); and sister-in-law, Louise Spalitto. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Anthony Spalitto.

The family wishes to recognize the Tucker family, the Spalitto family, and the Privitera family, as well as special friends Amy Bernard, Ernie Simmerman, Ben Carmack, and Bob Dernier.
