Obituary

Josephine Lynn Distasio, "JoLynn", 43, left her earthly journey on August 17, 2021, following a long battle with health ailments.

JoLynn was born July 16, 1978, in Kansas City, MO, and worked as a para-professional for the Liberty and North Kansas City School Districts. She lived life to the fullest and loved her family and friends. But most of all, her passion and will to live was her daughter Nina who meant the world to her. JoLynn was a wonderful daughter and sister, and was a devout Catholic, an avid Royals fan, and fanatic for the Green Bay Packers.

JoLynn was preceded in death by her "Poppas" and "Nannis" Tony and Josephine Distasio, and Nick and Mary K. Conforti; and her uncle Anthony J. Conforti. She is survived by her beloved daughter Nina; her loving parents Anthony and Diana Distasio; her sister Katie; uncles and aunts John and Rosetta Conforti, Nick and Kim Conforti; and many cousins.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty, MO. Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to her daughter Nina's education fund.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ross Maple, Larry Pace, Nick Conforti Jr., Johnny Conforti, Jimmy Mancuso, and Jay Mancuso.

The Family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the University of Kansas Medical Center, especially Dr. Gary Doolittle and Dr. John Bissler of Memphis, TN, for their care and compassion.
