Jon Michael
Robinett
Jun 17, 1969 — Jun 28, 2021
A beloved father, son, brother, uncle, fiancé, and friend, Jon Michael Robinett, 52, unexpectedly passed on June 28th, 2021. Jon was born June 17th, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Cole and Jeani Wells.
Jon attended Chouteau Elementary, Eastgate Middle, and was a 1987 Winnetonka graduate. After high school, he went on to attend the University of Central Missouri where he majored in Business and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Jon was a dedicated and hardworking businessman in the lending community for an excess of twenty years. He began as a Loan Originator and held several titles in the mortgage industry before advancing himself as the Director of Lending at United Fidelity Funding. He was an admired and respected part of the United Fidelity Funding family for the last fourteen years. Having the opportunity to closely work with his lifelong friends brought Jon so much fulfillment and happiness.
Jon was a loving father who enjoyed fishing, shopping, working in the yard, spending time with his family and friends, and dancing and singing. Above all else, Jon cherished being Remi's dad. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and contagious laugh that would light up a room. He lived his life unapologetically and in the fast lane, often making those around him laugh with his witty sense of humor and charismatic, larger than life personality. The special and unique bond he shared with so many was unparalleled. Jon's giving and kind heart made acquaintances feel like friends in his presence. He never met a stranger and loved and laughed with his whole heart.
Jon is survived by his parents, Cole and Jeani Wells; his daughter, Remi Robinett; and fiancé, April Currington. He also leaves behind his siblings, Jim Robinett, Lonnie and Katie Wells, Nicole and Kris Peterson, and Chris and Kirsten Wells; his stepsiblings, Deana Chalberg, Dana Jones, and Cole Wells III; nieces and nephews, Tiffini, Meghann, and Brett Robinett, Haley, Cole, and Bentlee Wells, Deyton Brown, AnnaBella, Kolsen, Giavonna, Madonna, and Kingston Peterson, Laney, Jaxton, and Paisley Wells, Sarah Davis, and Rebecca Bell; and countless friends which he considered family.
