Joseph A. Cascone passed away August 16, 2022, at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, at the age of 96.

Joe was born March 19, 1926, to John and Gina Cascone, and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri. He was a WWII veteran of the Pacific Theatre who served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. Joe married to Rose Lipari in 1949 and they had four children. He worked for Prudential Insurance Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1988. Joe was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a life-member of VFW Post 1000 in Independence, Missouri.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother and father; his five brothers; his wife of 56 years Rose; and his daughters Jean (Cascone) Smoke and Anita Cascone. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law John M. Cascone, Sam J. and Jo Carol (Serrone) Cascone; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
