Joseph Michael Filardo, 62, passed away August 5, 2024. Services will be held on Monday, August 12, at St. James Catholic Church in Liberty, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. James Parish; First Tee - Greater Kansas City; or a charity of your choice.

Joe was born March 21, 1962, in Kansas City, MO. He was a 1980 graduate of St. Pius X High School and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984. He started with his family's Roma Bakery before joining DST in 1985 where he worked until 2023. Joe was an active member and usher at St. James Parish, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an Eagle Scout, an avid golfer, and a loyal Mizzou fan.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Marco Filardo. He is survived by wife Jo Filardo; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Dominic Greenlee, Anna and Rick Bottoms, Kristin and Zachary Lester; his grandchildren Kamryn, Kori, and Brooks Greenlee, Regan and Delaney Bottoms, and Magnolia Lester; his mother Jacqueline Filardo; his brothers Carl (Pam) and John (Anita) Filardo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
