Joseph Charles Palmentere, 35, Gladstone, MO, passed away February 14, 2013. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Joey was born November 6, 1977 in Kansas City, MO. Commonly referred to by family and friends as Joey, Chilly, or Joey Palm, he was loved by all who knew him. Charming, handsome, and quick-witted, Joey loved making people laugh and shared inside jokes with almost everyone he knew. He had a larger than life personality that commanded everyone's attention and a smile that lit up every room he entered. Joey's heart was made of gold. He would have given anyone in need the shirt off his back. He was an avid sports fan and loved to golf. Joey was intelligent and perceptive, had an inquiring mind, and a philosophy all his own. It's almost as if this was Joey's world and we were just living in it. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin, and friend to many. Joey had a special place in his heart for his nephew, Stefano, and niece, Valentina, as they were the true loves of his life. Joey was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank Tousa and Joseph Palmentere.

Survivors include his parents, Benjamin and Geraldine Palmentere; sisters, Anna Perniciaro and husband Benny, Kathleen Palmentere; nephew and niece, Stefano and Valentina Perniciaro; grandmothers, Kathleen Palmentere and Frances Tousa; uncles and aunts, Joseph G. and Victoria Palmentere, Margie and Thomas Miele; aunt and godmother, Toni Giordano; and many cousins.
