Joseph Mazzeffe Jr., 73, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at St. Luke's Northland Hospital. Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 4 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, November 2, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Joe was born August 16, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Lena Mazzeffe. He worked 40 years at Black & Veatch before retiring in 2003. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Lena Biondo.

Joe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Mazzeffe; his children and their spouses, Joseph D. and Lisa Mazzeffe, Lisa and Joe Martino, Anthony and Mary Mazzeffe, Maria and Joe Michael Saitta; his grandchildren, Joseph Anthony and Leanna Nichole Mazzeffe, Teresa Antonina and John Anthony Martino, Alayna Maria, Gina Katherine, Anthony Michael and Anna Jo Mazzeffe, Joe Frank Saitta; sister and brother-in-law, Rosalie and Joe Pisciotta; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Ann Biondo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
