Joseph T. Spinello, 95, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 2, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family & Friends will gather on Friday, February 3, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum. Joseph was born April 6, 1921, in Kansas City, MO, to Thomas and Mary (Oliso) Spinello. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. For a shining, exemplary, nurturing figure we could have asked for no greater example. His warm wonderful smile, hugs and stories will be sorely missed.  We will always love you, Great Papa Joe. You are the best of us all.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice (Geraci) Spinello, in 2012; his parents; his brothers, Matt, Ned, Sam and Frank Spinello; and his sister, Mary Bradley. Survivors include his grandchildren, Nycki (Mike), Heather, Joey, and Shannon; great-granddaughters, Jenna and Jessa; daughter-in-law, Connie (Tommie); step-son, Joe C. Pace; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
