Joseph Zeffiro's Obituary
Joseph Zeffiro, 85, passed away April 8, 2017. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO 64138. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Joseph was born April 3, 1932, in New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Angelina (Bruno) Zeffiro; his sisters, Josephine Cavaleri and Mary Tohill; brother, Larry Zeffiro; and niece, Georgiann (Cavaleri) Longhorn.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Genevieve (Baccala) Zeffiro; his children, George Zeffiro and Angela Kubayko; his grandchildren Danielle, Kayla, and Joseph Zeffiro, Margaret Ann and Julianna Kubayko; his niece and nephew Jacqueline and John Rawson; and his in-laws, Charlie and Deva Flahive, and Theresa Manzella.
Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked over 50 years in the hearing aid business and for the Jackson County Courthouse as a process server. Joseph enjoyed playing cards, craps and slots and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas. His true love was his family especially his grandchildren.
