Josephine Costanza, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 7, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Church prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.

Josephine was born November 4, 1920 in Kansas City, MO, to Dominick and Rosalie (Fuccarina) Costanza. She retired from the Jackson County Marriage Bureau.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Costanza, in 1971. She is survived by her children, Rosalie Orr, Joseph Costanza, Catherine Costanza; grandchildren, Santina Brown, Joseph Costanza, Joshua Orr, Ryan Orr; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Anthony Costanza; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Draskovich; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Josephine was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
