Josephine was born August 24, 1925, to Steve and Isabelle Cicero. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO. Josephine was a devoted wife in her 66 years of marriage to her husband, Stan Gialde, who preceded her in death in 2010.
After raising her daughters, Josephine worked at Passantino's Thriftway and even after many years of retirement would reminisce of good times shared with her coworkers and customers.
The American Daughters of Columbus, and more importantly – her fellow members – were dearest to Josephine's heart. As a founding member, Josephine dedicated many decades in service to this Italian-American civic organization. Many of Josephine and Stan's happiest days were at the Club with friends, playing bocce, and enjoying occasional out-of-town tournaments. She was an avid football spectator and spirited fan of the Chiefs.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Angeline and Tom Gialde; son-in-law, John Bonacorso; and grandson, Johnny Joe Bonacorso.
Josephine was an active and energetic woman who loved being on the go. Her best days were those spent with her beloved family which includes her daughter and son-in-law, JoBeth and Don Miceli; and daughter, Kathy Bonacorso. Josephine also leaves grandchildren, Rozanne (Dean) Prather, Carl (Kelly) Miceli, Sam (Debbie) Miceli, JoMarie (Joe) Malicoat, and Theresa Jo Bonacorso; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Rosalie Cicero; and many nieces and nephews.
Josephine's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
