Josephine T. Infranca, 94, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at John Knox Village House. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.
Josephine was born January 18, 1918 in Kansas City, MO to Cirino and Rosaria (Virgo) Caponetto. She received an associate degree in art from Longview College and taught art to children. She also worked as a secretary at Vesper Hall in Blue Springs for many years, and volunteered at Little Sisters of the Poor. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Michael Infranca, in 1987.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Christine Sell, Roseanne and Glinn Case, Phillip and Barbara Infranca, Linda McCormick, Michael and Cindy Infranca; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
