Josephine M. Orlando, 79, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Jody was born August 27, 1936, to James and Mary (Buckler) Balestrere. She was preceded in death by her parents; and father of her children, Carl L. Orlando.

Survivors include her daughters, Toni Williams (David), Mary Bergquist (Randy), Jovita Davis; grandchildren, Bianca and Matt Leis, Carli and Tyler King, Ali and Jerry Skinner, Nina Jones, Bubby and Tarin Williams, Branden Bergquist, Logan Bergquist, Carl Deck, Dyllon Williams, Terijo Deck, Jimmy Deck; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Balestrere, Jimmy Balestrere (Anna); sister-in-law, Vita Canaleo (Carl); and many loving nieces and nephews.
