Josephine Perez of Kansas City, Missouri passed away at the age of 80 on May 22, 2021 at home surrounded by all of her loved ones.

Josephine was born to Cayetano and Frances Razo on March 3, 1941. Josephine married the boy next door Robert Perez, and they enjoyed a long marriage until Robert lost his battle to cancer. Josephine was a stay-at-home mom for many years until she decided to return to her career as a CNA at University Towers where she gained great satisfaction from caring for the elderly. Josephine retired to spend more time with her husband Robert and to help care for her eight grandchildren with whom she developed special bonds.

Josephine is survived by her children Sharon Rieves, Jeffrey Perez, and Christine Baldin (Anthony), along with her companion John Zuniga. Josephine is also survived by her grandchildren Dominique Perez, Anthony M. Baldin, Robert Rieves, Samuel Rieves, Alexander Perez, Catherine Barry, Dominic Baldin, and Maria Rieves. Josephine was happy to have known her great-grandchildren Matthew Rieves, Brianna Barry, Olivia Compton, Mackenzie Barry, Anthony L Baldin, and Jackson Compton. Josephine is survived by her siblings Anastacio Razo, Jesse Avila, Robert Razo, and Abraham Razo. She was preceded in death by her siblings John Razo, Issac Razo, Rose Buckley, and Eva Martinez.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost, Kansas City, MO.
