Obituary

Josephine (Bruno-DiSalvo) Solovey, 88, left this world but not our hearts on April 24, 2020.

Josephine was born in Kansas City on June 22, 1931. She was married to Carmelo "Happy" DiSalvo and later in life married Fred Solovey. Josephine lived life to the fullest: traveling, cooking, painting, and playing games, which included all night cards and Monopoly (where there was always at least a $1.00 stake from each player).

But her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sebastiano and Lucia (Liggio) Bruno. She is survived by her children Antonina "Toni" DiSalvo, Charles Thomas and daughter-in-law Jean (Sirna) DiSalvo; her grandchildren Luann (Grisafe) & husband Robert Dunnuck, Paul Grisafe, Tommy & wife Rachel DiSalvo, John Frank & wife Kara DiSalvo, Ross Anthony & wife Caroline DiSalvo. She was affectionally known as Nani Solovey by her wonderful, great-grandchildren Gabrielle (Dunnuck) & husband Nevin Rosner, Sophia Dunnuck, Alaina Grisafe, Tommy III, Sebastiano, and Elliana DiSalvo, John Frank Jr, Salvatore, and Vincenzo DiSalvo, Gianna, Lucia, Natalia, and Mia Josephine DiSalvo; and many more beloved family and friends.

A Special "Thanks" to the following establishments, agencies and their employees for their Devotion, Care and Dedication To Senior Dignity: The Wexford Place, New Mark Care Center and North Court Rehab, North Kansas City Hospital, Right at Home Services, Interim Services and Kansas City Hospice.
