Juanita Mae (Tate) Cottle, 91 years young, passed away July 31, 2022, attended to by her loving family.

Nita was born June 26, 1931, and grew up in the Old Northeast area of Kansas City, Mo.  She later moved to Kansas City North in the 1970's with her husband Harvey A. Cottle who passed away in 1985.  A devoted mother and grandmother, she spent her following 37 widowed years as part of a diverse and growing family, helping care for her daughters, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.  She set an example of fierce independence, strong opinions, biting humor, unconditional love, and heartfelt kindness.

She is survived by her two daughters Tina M. Cottle Jacobs (Jake); Michelle L. Cottle Bohlander (Keith); three granddaughters: Jennifer Jacobs Weyrauch, Carrie Jacobs Howard, Danae Jacobs Von Glahn (Brian), 11 great-grandchildren: Ana, Jacob, Alexis, Marcus, Samantha, Alex, Ava, Aliyah, Jackson, Madeline, and Trey.  Her memory will be forever cherished and her imprint upon each of us a bright and undying light.

Visitation will begin with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.
