Kathleen "Kathy" Pasalich, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 70. Kathy grew up in the Historic Northeast area, attending Holy Cross Elementary School and Glennon High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Steve, and the two were married on September 23, 1976. Together, they spent 48 wonderful years raising their three sons.

Kathy was passionate about family, and her role as a devoted "boy mom" was one of her greatest joys. She loved participating in Scouting with her sons, even serving as a Den Mother at one point. Some of her fondest memories were visiting her boys at Scout camp and helping them with their activities, proudly watching them progress in their ranks. Kathy's love and commitment to her children and grandchildren were evident in everything she did.

In addition to her family, Kathy was an avid baker and cook. She worked as the cafeteria manager at St. Stephen School, where she enjoyed preparing meals for the students. Kathy's kitchen was always a gathering place, filled with love and laughter. She was known for her delicious pumpkin pies, fudge, cookies, and cupcakes, often sharing them with family, friends, and co-workers. Kathy also passed on her culinary skills, teaching her children and grandchildren how to make tamales, an event that turned into a cherished family affair full of fun and memories.

Kathy loved the Fall, and it was no surprise that her favorite color was orange, with Halloween being a time of excitement in her home. Her house was always beautifully decorated with festive décor, and a bowl of candy was never far from reach, especially for her grandchildren. Thanksgiving was also a special time for Kathy, and many fond memories were created with family gathered at her home.

Kathy shared a deep and loving bond with her husband Steve, and they spent countless hours working together in their yard and garden, watching game shows and Chiefs games, playing with their dogs Foxy and Millie, and enjoying puzzles and card games. Kathy's quick wit and feisty spirit were a constant source of strength for her family. She faced life's hardships with resilience and never complained, no matter what challenges came her way.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn and Dwane Martin; her son, Billy; and her brother, John Patrick. She is survived by her husband, Steve; sons Stephen (Gina), Eric (fiancée Holley), and George; grandchildren Blake and Caroline Pasalich, and Adrian Pasalich; sisters Sheryl and Cecilia (Rachel); brothers David (Cyndy), Steve (Francie), and Charlie; brother-in-law George (Mary); and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Kathy's dear friend Robin for her unwavering support throughout Kathy's life and to the caretakers at NorthCare Hospice House for their compassionate care in Kathy's final days.

Kathy's legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
