Kathryn Ann Shortino "Kathy", a beloved wife, mother, sister, Nani, and friend passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born on October 20, 1945, in Shelbina, Missouri, Kathryn spent 80 beautiful years fiercely devoted to the people she loved.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 62 years, Michael Shortino; her three children, Melissa Shay (Kenneth), Michael Shortino (Tammy), and Mark Shortino; and her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved with every part of her heart.

Kathryn was the kind of person you never had to guess about. She spoke her mind with honesty, humor and a spirit all her own. She met everything and everyone life placed in her path with strength and grace, facing each challenge with unwavering resilience.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures: trips to the casino (the boats), bingo, puzzles, reading, impromptu road trips with her grandkids, and long evenings spent around the dining room table playing cards with her family - only cheating when she absolutely had to.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents William and Dorris, and brother William (Butch) Threlkeld. Her memory will live on in the countless moments she shared with family and friends, the laughter she inspired, and the love she gave.
