Obituary

Kenny Richard McCauley, age 80, of Blue Springs, Mo. passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, surrounded by his family at the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

Kenny was born on November 21, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo. to Eugene and Jessie McCauley.  He grew up and went to school in the East Lynn community and later graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1963.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for six years.  He served our country by being deployed to Viet Nam for two tours of duty.

On December 9, 1967, he married the love of his life, Antonia "Toni" Tuso of Lake Lotawanna in Blue Springs, Mo.  They made their home in Harrisonville, Mo.  On February 27, 1970, they welcomed their only child, Christine Kay McCauley.

Kenny was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 101 for over 40 years where he ran heavy equipment for several contractors in the Kansas City area.

Kenny was a 50-year member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons lodge where he proudly served in many different leadership roles.

Kenny also had a One-Man Band-MAC Country and loved to play music and sing in the area for all occasions.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Jessie McCauley; his brothers Eugene "Dub" McCauley, Jerry McCauley, and Beverly "Pete" McCauley.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Toni McCauley of the home; his daughter Christine Eddleman (Scott) of Creighton;  his two grandsons Ryan Eddleman (Amanda) of Raymore and Brett Eddleman (Erica) of Greenwood; two great-granddaughters Olivia and Amelia Eddleman of Raymore; one great-grandson Beau Eddleman of Greenwood; sister Judy Dillon Parrish (Bill) of Harrisonville; sister-in-law Mary Ann Kelley of Blue Springs; sister-in-law Kay Ulm (Bill) of Blue Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Lodge, 100 NE Brizendine Road, Blue Springs, Mo. 64014 on Sunday July 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with military and Masonic honors.  Food will be served.

Donations may be made in his honor to the Veterans Administration in Kansas City, Mo.
