Kerry Lance Cleeton passed away on July 24, 2022, in Independence, MO.

Kerry was born in Kansas City, MO on September 23, 1955, to John W. and Carol J. Cleeton. He was the third of five children. He graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1973 and served three years in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer. After the Army, Kerry continued his career in public safety as both a security guard for area businesses and over 25 years as a school bus driver for the Park Hill School District. Kerry was a big bear of a man with a soft heart for the kids on his route. In his spare time, Kerry enjoyed making baked goods to give away to his coworkers and neighbors, reading historical and military books, and playing video games with far away friends. He also delighted in being a doggy dad to his furry "son" Rebel.

Kerry was preceded in death by his parents John and Carol, brothers Robert Smith, Kevin Cleeton and John A. Cleeton, and his partner of 29 years, Vicki Robertson. He is survived by his sister, Susan Cleeton, her husband Patrick Diamond, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kerry also had many other special people in his life that miss him, including his best buddy Reece Brown, Vicki's grandson David Rockwood, and many friends and neighbors, particularly his favorite neighbor "Aunt Judy" Jones.

Kerry's family would like to thank all the friends, family and neighbors who have expressed their condolences. They are also comforted by the fact that he is reunited with the love of his life, Vicki, and their beloved dog Rebel.
