Kimberly Kay Hannen passed away December 29th, 2025, at the age of 56 surrounded by family. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri. This will be followed by a private burial at Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City North.

Kim was born on November 11th, 1969, in Kansas City, MO. Moving to Clinton, MO in 2001, she spent the remainder of her years there with Pete building a home, raising children and enjoying many pets that she loved.  Kim loved to spend time at her and Pete's country home having get togethers at her bar, enjoying the outdoors and the lake. Kim was well known for her bigger than life personality and never knowing a stranger. Her door was always open for anyone who needed anything whether it be a meal, or an ear to listen.

Kim leaves behind her husband of 35 years Pete Hannen; three living children Katie (Colby), Kellie (Michael), and Denver Hannen; and her siblings Tabetha (Joe) Anderson, Robbie (Abigail) Abbott, and James (Lenora) Abbott. Kim also leaves behind her many nieces and nephews, Nickolas, Tanner, Joey, Mckenna, Dustin, Amber, Ashley, Bridget, James II, Anthony and Austin, as well as all her bonus children who called her mom. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Hannen; mothers Patricia Abbott and Alice Speiser; sister Melissa Comstock; and nephew Reva Butters.
