Larry was born August 23, 1937, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Sam and Nellie Buccero. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1955 and attended one year at KU. He married Camille Culotta in October 1957. He was employed at Lee Vending Services for 16 years. He was in the car business as a salesman until two years ago at various dealerships in the Kansas City area, including Independence Lincoln Mercury and Heartland Chevrolet.

Larry was an avid sports fan and was a baseball coach for 3&2 baseball teams in the 1960's and 70's. He coached all of his children in various sports throughout their lives. His children fondly remember their father attending every practice, game and school function.

Larry enjoyed watching Royals and Chiefs games on Sundays with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid golfer and once made a hole in one at Stayton Meadows. His finest quality was his endless sense of humor and never taking life too seriously. Larry and Camille enjoyed for many years, meeting monthly for dinner and dominoes with lifelong friends Frank and Carol Poppa, Tony and Teresa Manzella, and JoMarie LeGrotte. They enjoyed many trips with the most recent to Italy and Sicily last summer with their son's family. He enjoyed traveling to his family's hometown in Castel Vetrano and Cefalu. Some of his most recent enjoyable times was meeting for coffee with friends. Larry missed his dear friend Andy Coletti who passed away in January of this year.

In his later years, the joy of his life was his four grandchildren. "PaPa" never missed a school or sporting event.

Even after he was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer, Larry kept his sense of humor and never complained about his illness.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Nellie Buccero; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Simon and Josephine Culotta; sister-in-law, Judy Culotta; and brother-in-law, Jack Brancato. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Camille; his three children, Sam (Tonya) Buccero, Larry (Ami) Buccero, Laura (Brent) Benefiel; grandchildren, Sammy Buccero, Nick Buccero, Alesha Buccero, Grant Buccero; sister, Rosalind Brancato; brother-in-law, Paul Culotta; many nieces and nephews; and seven step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, step-grandson Nick Gully, Michael Poppa, Michael Barreca, Greg Culotta, and Paul Culotta.
