Larry D. Potts' Obituary
Larry D. Potts, 75, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Larry was born June 11, 1940, to Harry and Arlene Potts, and was a lifelong resident of Northeast Kansas City, MO. He attended Holy Cross Elementary and was a 1957 graduate of Glennon High School. He worked several years in the trash hauling business with his father and brother, and later worked at Eastside Auto Parts. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Margaret "Marty" Potts; his children, James Donald Potts, Christopher Lee Potts, and Iva Marie Miller; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-children, Kurt Johnson, Denitia McGuire (Mike), Brad Johnson (Renada); three step-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and his former wife, Donna Cox Potts.
