Leonore (Fontana) Ferrara, 92, passed away August 27, 2018.

Leonore was born June 3, 1926, to the late Frank and Katie (Giordano) Fontana. She loved playing cards, watching college sports with the Vic and cooking. In her younger years she was an avid bowler and Bocce Champion. Like any great Nani she never let you leave her house hungry or empty handed. She loved being a wife, mother and even more she loved being a Nani. She will be greatly missed but it is comforting knowing she is with her past loved ones watching over her family.

Leonore was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Fontana; daughter, Marianne (Ferrara) Hogan; son, Anthony Victor Ferrara; and her husband of 69 years, Victor Ferrara. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Nick Scimeca; son-in-law, Dennis Hogan (Renee); daughter-in-law, Barbara Fitzgerald; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Passantino; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Fontana.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 31, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr., Kansas City, MO 64116. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Quinn Hogan, Alec Hogan, Colin Hogan, Michael Scimeca, Victor Scimeca, Gino Ferrara, and Anthony Ferrara
