Leslie Mathews Adams, 52, passed away June 24, 2016. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 27, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the Funeral Home, followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Leslie was born December 21, 1963, in Kansas City, MO, to Richard and Kathryn Mathews, and was a 1982 graduate of Northeast High School. She trained as an LPN and was a nursing instructor at Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center for the past four years. She touched many lives and was highly respected for sharing the teaching skills she learned with her students. Leslie loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed music, playing pool, cooking, dogs, and camping trips with her girlfriends. She loved the smell of grass and unicorns.
Leslie was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Mathews, in 1976; and her parents. Survivors include her sons, Michael Blair Wilson and Ryan Alexander Wilson; her sister, Linda Mathews of Eminence, MO; her nephews, Logan and Luke Mathews; her husband, Rob Adams; and numerous loving friends and family.
