Obituary

Lewis Moran Ellis, Jr., known to many as "Rick" or "Randy", was born January 20, 1945, in Boonville, Missouri to the late Lewis Moran Ellis, Sr. and Fannie (nee Sanderson) Ellis. Lew passed away 79 years later on February 17, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Pauline Ellis (nee Castelluccio) ; daughter Sandra Ellis; and sister Sarah Ellis. Lew is survived by his son Rick Ellis (and spouse Stacy); grandchildren Ryan Ellis and Kadee Ellis; brothers Bill Ellis and Terry Ellis (and spouse Tresa); and many family and friends who will miss him deeply.

Lew grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, attending Northeast High School. He served six years in the Air Force before marrying Pauline Ellis in July 1970. He joined Teamsters Local 41, winning numerous driving awards before retiring in January 2005. In his younger days he loved to dance and won many awards. In more recent years Lew enjoyed singing karaoke with his many friends.

Lew will be deeply missed by family and friends for whom he was truly a blessing.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 29, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
