Linda Lou Dominguez, "Momma Dominguez", 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on December 13, 2023, in Topeka, Kansas, with family by her side.

Linda was born on December 1, 1948, in Berkley, California, the daughter of Ferol M. and Lucille (nee Mosier) Cox. While living in the Northeast area of Kansas City, MO, Linda met Raymond G. Dominguez, her childhood best friend, when she was nine and he was 12. He became the love of her life, and they married on January 7, 1967, in the Northeast neighborhood where they settled down and raised their family. The love and passion Linda had for her family was more than words can say, and more than actions can show. She embraced her role as a mother, and also as a grandma to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand-pom puppy Mahomes. Her children and grandchildren always knew that they could count on her for anything at anytime, anywhere. The memories that she has made with her family will last forever. She was a guiding light. She was an incredibly wise woman, and a once-in-a-lifetime strongest woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, co-worker, boss, acquaintance, stranger, friend, neighbor, and loving witness you ever met.

Linda loved just getting in her vehicle and going for a cruise listening to Christian music, going to concerts, the showboat 'Branson Belle', and especially loved sitting out back on the patio at her daughter and son-in-law's home soaking up the peace and quiet in the country. Linda was a considerate, kind, caring, compassionate, and generous person. She was selfless and always put others before herself. Linda held a strong spiritual belief and was a devoted follower of Jesus. She loved life and cherished her family.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Raymond G. Dominguez;  her sons Paul Dominguez and Stephen Dominguez of Kansas City, MO; her daughter Raelynn Dominguez McNary (Andy) of Topeka, KS; her six grandchildren: Elysia Carrillo of Kansas City, MO, Bianca Dominguez of Independence MO, Domanick Dominguez (Jessica) of Cedar Rapids, IA,  Stephen Dominguez Jr. of Platte City, MO, Glenda Dominguez Ross (Payton) of Raytown, MO, Linda Dominguez of Kansas City, MO; and Pom Pup Mahomes McNary of Topeka, KS. She had seven great-grandchildren: Anthony Jenkins, Adalynne Vallardo, Anika Vallardo, Avery and Skyler, all of Kansas City, MO, Noah Dominguez of Cedar Rapids, IA, Paisley Dominguez of Independence, MO, and Payton Ross of Raytown, MO. She was the beloved sister of Carol Caton (Jim) of Chapel Hill, TN, and a loving aunt to her one and only nephew Kirk Rowland of Shelbyville, TN. She also leaves many other cousins who live all over this country. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Ferol and Lucille Cox; brother Ferol Thomas Cox; grandchildren Anthony (25 years), and Matthew Stephen Dominguez (3 days); and three unborn grandchildren / angels in Heaven.

During her career, Linda worked as a picture analyst and press operator before being promoted to office manager at Lifetouch Publishing Inc. from 1981 to 1997. She then served as an admissions clerk for the Kansas City Public School District and later worked as a secretary for Gladstone Elementary where she was able to witness the growth of her grandchildren who attended the school. She retired from Gladstone Elementary in 2010.

Linda worshipped at Bethany Baptist Church in Northeast, Pleasant Vally Baptist Church in Liberty, MO, and Englewood Christian Church in Independence, MO. Her faith was an important aspect of her life.

Outside of work, Linda had a variety of hobbies. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, bowling, playing softball, swimming, and going to the New Theatre as it was date night for Raymond and her. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she would take on mini vacations like Branson and places with lots of corn, and great-grandchildren. She also had a passion for reading and studying the Bible. Shopping, a mother-daughter cruise, a helicopter ride at Mount Rushmore, and many other mother-daughter adventures brought her joy.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her sons Paul and Stephen Dominguez, nephew Kirk Roland, grandson Domanick Dominguez, great-grandson Anthony Jenkins, and son-in-law Andy McNary.

Linda's generous spirit, loving nature, and dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
