Linda A. (Erickson) Nechvatal passed away quietly at the home on Sunday, March 17th, 2019.

Linda was born on January 31, 1951, in Ripon, Wisconsin.  She was raised in Menomonie, WI, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education form UW River Falls.  Linda was full of love and life and enjoyed her flowers and her friends to the fullest.  She taught elementary art to 760 children and filled them with the love of beauty and creativity that she shared with everyone throughout her life.  After marriage she entered the retail world working for Klines department stores and later New York & Co where she was lovingly known as "the gray-haired lady".

Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Steve; three children, Anna Nechvatal-Singleton, Greta (Michael) Cooper, Peter (Kaleigh) Nechvatal; two grandchildren, Matthew Cooper & Fiona Nechvatal; and two sisters, Alice Monett & Jill O'Donoghue.  She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth & Margaret Erickson.

A celebration of her life will be Sunday, March 24th from 4-7 p.m. with a memorial at 5:30 p.m. at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. In lieu of flowers, Linda asked that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
