Obituary

Linda Pernice, 69, a lifelong resident of Northeast Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 a St. Luke's Hospital – Plaza. A public visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 8 at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. The funeral service is private.

Linda was born March 25, 1951, and was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Her dedication to her faith was evident through many hours of service to the Altar and Rosary Society, annual St. Joseph Table and other functions within the church. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 30 years of service. Linda attended Glennon High School until it closed and was a graduate from Northeast High School.

Linda could always be seen with an infectious smile on her face and speaking words of kindness. She was very family oriented and loved family get togethers. Linda was especially proud of her two sons, David and Joe Mike and their beautiful families. She cherished time with her grandchildren and sharing her one-of-a-kind stories. Her punctuality was like no other - family holiday celebrations over lasagna will always be a reminder of Linda! If you were lucky enough to say Linda was your friend, you were blessed with the gift of a kind, sweet and loyal friendship that would span a lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore 'Sam' and Josephine (Radosta) Pernice. Linda is survived by her children David (Michelle) Castro and Joe Mike ( Kelly) Castro; brothers Philip P Pernice, Jack (Robin) Pernice, Steve (Lori) Pernice; sisters Angel Pernice and Annette (Tom) Silvio; three grandchildren Lexis and Lawna Castro and Calvin Castro; many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Vincent Pernice, Salvatore Pernice, Dominic Pernice, Michael Pernice, Anthony Pernice, Tony Santi, Paul Silvio, Salvatore Silvio and Anthony Silvio.
