Linda Joyce (Kilgore) Scola, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on June 3, 2026, at 6:45 a.m. surrounded by loved ones.
Linda was born September 23, 1947, in Kansas City, MO, to Alvin and Mary Anne (Villines) Kilgore. She was a proud member of the Daughters of Columbus and cherished the friendships she made through the organization. She looked forward to her Friday card games with her girlfriends and rarely missed an opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Whether she was playing bocce, trying her luck at the boat, or enjoying a lively game of bunco, Linda embraced life with enthusiasm, laughter, and a love for good company.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Charles V. Scola; her parents Alvin and Mary Anne Kilgore; father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Teresa Scola; sisters Anna McMurtry, Delphine White, Margie Beach and Gracie Troxel; brother Alvin Kilgore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul and Carol Scola; and sister-in-law Mary Margaret Scola Beguila.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law James and Jeanette Scola, Dominick and Leanna Scola, Joseph and Dianna Scola; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Jonathan Kilgore; grandchildren Rozanna and Brandon Mead, Alaina and Tanner Crow, Linda and Mark Belgiere, Paula and TJ Greenwood, Charlie Scola, Annamarie and Luciano Biscari, and Johnny Joe Kilgore; great-grandchildren Nickolas Mead, Paisley, Charli, and Sonny Crow, Stella and Viviana Belgiere, Joe Phil Greenwood, and Annalia Biscari; brother Thomas Louis Kilgore Jr; brother-in-law Sam Scola; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
On Monday, June 8, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, the Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. followed by Visitation from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Nick Denny, Louis John Katzer, Joe Pisciotta, Paulie Scola, Tony Mike Scola, and Dr. John Waddell.
