Dr. Louis Orlando III, passed away on June 14 ^th , 2020 in Sacramento CA, where he resided with his family. He was the oldest of three children born to Louis Orlando Jr. and Nancy (Molinaro) Orlando, both now deceased.

Louis graduated from Cardinal Glennon High School, St. Louis University, and U.M.K.C. Pharmacy School. After serving in the U.S. Army for two years, he attended and graduated from K.C.O.C. Medical School in Kansas City. Mo. Soon after, he moved to Hollywood, FL where he met and married his wife Arlene Anderson and had three children, Louis IV, Lisa and Laura. After practicing for several years, he then moved his family to Sacramento where he had his own private practice until he retired at age 85.

Louis loved being a family physician caring for patients of many ages and ailments for over 55 years. He was an avid golfer and founding member of North Ridge Country Club in Sacramento. He also loved singing, making many CD's for all family members in K.C. Lou was very thoughtful, remembering everyone's Birthdays and Anniversaries calling to sing them good wishes.

He had a lust for learning: languages, magic, card tricks, mind games, puzzles and trivia.  Louis returned to Kansas City often to attend Glennon's yearly reunions, family gatherings, special occasions, and extended family reunions, always having a story or joke to tell.

Louis was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, cousin, and friend. He will truly and sadly be missed. He leaves his wife of 56 years Arlene, his children Louis IV, Lisa and Laura (Craig) Volpe, and granddaughter Ryan Volpe, all of Sacramento, his sister Phyllis (Joe Mike) Christifano, and brother Don (Lucille) Orlando of Kansas City, plus many relatives and friends.

His family will come to Kansas City to celebrate a Memorial Mass in his honor at a later date.
