Lucia "Lucille" Panettiere peacefully passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Hidden Lakes Care Center. She was born on July 12, 1912 and lived her full life in Kansas City Missouri. Throughout her life, she was fully committed to her Church, her family, and her business career. She never found a problem that could not be solved through hard work and faith in The Lord! Her support of her family never wavered, no matter her entire life. She is survived by her beloved and devoted niece, Antoinette (Toni) Aloisio Ibarra of Independence, Missouri, and John M. Panettiere (wife Wanda Ann), a loving and supportive nephew of Lake Martin, Alabama. She is further survived by three Grand Nephews, Andrew M. Panettiere, Brian T. Panettiere, John C. Panettiere, and seven Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarafina Chiavola Panettiere, her father, John M. Panettiere, a sister Congetta Panettiere Aioisio (husband Frank), and a brother, Captain Andrew Henry Panettiere MD.(wife Helen), who was killed in action on GuadalCanal during WWII.
Lucille held various administrative positions throughout her life with a major portion of her career employed by a major Liquor Distributing Company in Kansas City. In every task that she was given, she far exceeded expectations of her superiors! She was a driven task master that only accepted excellence in job performance. During her almost 103 years on this earth, she touched so many lives that loved and respected her. Two of her enduring friends were Wanda Chiavola Shockey, and Virginia Collura.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 am Wednesday, March 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, Missouri 64106 where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
