Luciana was born October 10, 1921, in Pisa, Italy, to Irma Lapucci. She married her husband, Steno, in 1945 during the war and immigrated to the United States in 1946. She raised her family in the Columbus Park area of Kansas City, and worked for Woolf Brothers Tailor Shop for 25-plus years. In her years after retirement, Luciana thoroughly enjoyed maintaining her home on Gladstone Blvd., sitting on the porch, and taking a ride on a pretty day to the Plaza. For the past two years she resided with her son and daughter-in-law which allowed her to be much closer to her children and grandchildren.

Luciana was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 40 years, Steno Armilio (1985). She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and JoMarie Armilio; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Carl Calandra; grandchildren, Dr. John Paul and Kyleigh Armilio, Andrea Armilio, and Gina Horn; great-granddaughter, Kinley; brother and sister-in-law, Franco and Brunella Lapucci of Pisa, Italy; sisters-in-law, Clara Hitchcock, Mary Wasmer; nephew, Andrea Lapucci of Pisa, Italy; extended family, Rose Marie Saccone; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family wishes to thank Linda Burton and the nurses and staff of Crossroads Hospice for their outstanding care and support.
