Lucy C. Sola, 92, Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2011 at Blue Hills Rest Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 8, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 2200 N. Blue Mills Rd., Independence, MO 64058. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until Mass time Thursday at the church.

Lucy was born March 22, 1919 in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of Societa Ragusa Americana. She was generous, giving person who was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and previously Nativity of Mary Parish. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Guiseppe and Raffaela (Gimmaro) Sola; her sisters, Gena Cascone, Rose Manzo, Nancy Mohylowski; and her brother, Matteo Sola.

Survivors include her nephews and nieces, John Cascone, Joseph Cascone, Salvatore and Sara Cascone, Matthew Cascone, Rachel and Erasmo Anselmo; and many great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice, Blue Hills Rest Home, and Centerpoint Medical Center for the care given to Lucy.
