Lydia Drab, 89, Kansas City, MO, passed away November 12, 2013. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 16, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1029 Bennington Ave., Kansas City, MO 64126, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow the services. Lydia was born July 14, 1924 in Pyrzyce, Germany and was raised in Poland. As a child, she survived WWII without her parents. She came to the United States with her husband, Michael Drab, in 1951. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1979. Lydia held many friendships throughout the world and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Anna J. and Gabriel Valencia; three grandchildren, Heidi D. Kolodziejski, Nicole R. Kolodziejski, and Gabriel Armando Valencia; two step-grandchildren, Ulises Valencia and Sandra Valencia; three great-grandchildren, Gregory D. Kolodziejski, Saleine A. Keith, and Xavier D. Harris; and many, many friends.
