Mae Lorraine Winters had celebrated her 94 ^th birthday in June, what an amazing life she had. While she lived it on her terms she lived it passionately and ever so lovingly. Mae passed away peacefully on this past Saturday evening, December 3, 2016, surrounded by family that adored her and at a place she cherished, St. Joseph's Hospital. It was like a second home, Mae had worked there for 40+ years. Oh yes, that was her 2 ^nd career! Mae worked at the K.C. Veteran's Hospital for 30+ years where she began as an E.K.G. Tech, working her way up to the head of that department; so she was well skilled when she continued at St. Joseph's.   She was an active member of ABWA, an organization that she wholeheartedly supported since 1972. Mae was recognized as their "Woman of the Year" for several years, and served as President for several terms.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents Ethel and Howard Rosson; and her husband Wayne Winters. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Dr. Roger) Anderson; grandson Jeff (Cecilia) Bethel; great-grandsons Jake, Josh and Joe who were the light of her life; as well as other extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be this Sunday, December 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested in Mae's name to a veteran's organization of your choice.
