Margaret (Margie) M. Russo Burras, 87, passed away October 11, 2016. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 21, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association at www.strokeassociation.org.

Margie was born March 9, 1929, in Kansas City, MO.  She grew up in Kansas City and she attended school at St. Mary's Academy in Leavenworth, KS.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and lived for her family.  She had a strong love for children and animals and always enjoyed making people laugh.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents James & Mary Russo.  Survivors include her daughter Linda Abbott and son-in-law Jerry Abbott; grandchildren Melissa Abbott Mudd and her husband John Mudd, Aubrey Froelich and her husband Kevin Froelich; her great grandchildren Brynnan Mudd, Jonathan Mudd, Ryan Froelich, Jordan Froelich and Ashtyn Froelich; and brother Thomas Russo and sister-in-law Mary Jo Russo.
