Obituary

Margaret Annetta Nickles, born June 13, 1939, in Marshall, MO, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at Wilshire of Lakewood in Lee's Summit, MO. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Passantino Bros. Funeral Home.
Annetta was a woman who dedicated her life to her family and cared for many others over the years. Her home was always a place where a child could feel loved. She comforted those who were sad, bandaged those who were hurt, and kissed those whom she felt needed that extra bit of love for the day! She fed any child, made every holiday special, and never complained. She just replied, "that's what moms do."
Annetta was employed by AR-KA-MO Sales & Service after her kids were of school age and, when the work day was done, came home and still managed to cook, clean and take care of her husband and the last of her kids at home. Annetta always gave of herself without ever asking for anything in return. She was the definition of a true lady.
Annetta was preceded in death by her husband, John Nickles; parents, James and Minnie Barr; four brothers; five sisters; and two grandchildren, George and Gregory Precht. She is survived by two siblings, Rosemary Barr of Kansas City, MO, and John Barr of Warrensburg, MO; six children and spouses, Steve Nickles of Tulsa, OK, Paul and Tina Nickles of Tulsa, OK, Anna Marie John and Randy Brimer of Liberty, MO, Kevin Nickles of Excelsior Springs, MO, Phillip Nickles of Lee's Summit, MO, Karen and David Chambers of Smithville, MO; grandchildren, Jessica Hampton, Chris Nickles, Marissa and Makenzie Nickles, Jason Nickles, Tiffini, Meghann and Brett Robinett, Lexie Chambers, O'Ryan and Zachary John; great-grandchildren, Lacy Hampton, Evan Hulshof, Spencer Nagel, Logan and Derrick Nickles.
